Research Assistants (1-4 credits)
There are a variety of research assistant positions with responsibilities ranging from data management to assisting with family assessments to developing and maintaining websites. The responsibilities of RA positions that we need frequently are below:
RA responsibilities:
- Learn to reliably administer various assessments and questionnaires to adolescents during family visits.
- Attend and participate in weekly research team meetings
- Learn to correctly score assessments and questionnaires completed during family visits.
- Responsibly complete assigned data management responsibilities, including scoring and entering monthly rating scales, as well as entering assessments and questionnaires completed at family visits.
- Assist in various office duties, such as completion of assessment packets, filing, and preparing monthly rating scale mailings.
- Administer and reliably complete treatment fidelity checks
Learn assessment procedures through:
- Use of a manual
- Regular supervision sessions
- Seminar meetings
- Outside readings and instruction
This course is intended for advanced undergraduates interested in gaining clinical research experience.
