Beth H. Garland, Ph.D. is currently completing a post-doctoral fellowship in the Disruptive Behavior Disorders Clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital, Learning Support Center for Child Psychology in Houston, TX. Frank Gearing, M.D. works at Harrisonburg Pediatrics. He specializes in the treatment of children with ADHD and has collaborated with investigators at the ALDC on the development of new treatments.
Amori Yee Mikami Ph.D., assistant professor at University of Virginia. Her areas of specialization are Clinical, Community, and Developmental Psychology. Brandon Schultz is Director of Clinical and Consultative Services at the Alvin V. Baird Attention and Learning Disabilities Center (ALDC) at James Madison University. Zewelanji (Zewe) Serpell, Ph.D, is an assistant professor at the Virginia State University. Her area of specialization is Developmental Psychology. Karen Swette-Husain is a faculty member at the Alvin V. Baird’s Attention and Learning Disability Center. She is the ADHD Skills Coach for the High School Project. As a lifetime educator, she has spent the majority of her career instructing students struggling with learning and attention disabilities. Debbie Thurneck, Psy.D. is a Post-Doctoral Resident in Clinical Psychology working at the Cook Counseling Center. Her primary interests include anxiety, depression, relationships, adjustment difficulties, and identity-related concerns. Couples counseling and psychological assessment are also areas of interest.
